Love letter to America: Gushing tributes to Obama and Bush in U.S. version of Blair memoirs 03 Sep 2010 Tony Blair has penned a love letter to America in the introduction to the U.S. edition of his memoirs. In it, he claims his book is about the United States and describes American presidents in gushing terms as occupying the 'Olympian heights'. He eulogises Bill Clinton as 'formidable', George W Bush as 'intuitive' and Barack Obama as 'a man with steel in every part of him'.
