Gov. Perdue's plane makes emergency landing 20 Apr 2012 A state plane with Gov. Beverly Perdue (D) on board made an emergency landing Friday afternoon at Raleigh Durham International Airport. Perdue's press secretary Chris Mackey said Perdue was on her way to make a jobs announcement in Davie County when the plane experienced unusual vibrations after takeoff. According to radio traffic to the control tower, there was a problem with the aircraft's landing gear. A warning light also came on.
